What is AI motion control? A simple explanation
Motion control is the technology behind most AI dance and trend videos. It takes the movement from one video and applies it to a different person, usually from a single photo.
How it works
The AI watches the source video and tracks the body: head, shoulders, arms, hands, legs and timing. It then generates a new video where the person from your photo makes exactly those movements, in a matching scene.
Motion control vs image to video
Image to video invents movement from a description, like “turns and smiles”. Motion control copies real movement from a real clip, so dances and gestures match the original beat for beat.
Motion control vs replace character
Motion control builds a new video around your photo. Replace Character keeps the original video, its place, camera and sound, and only swaps the person.
What it is good for
- Dance trends.
- Copying a friend’s funny move.
- Starring a character in any clip.
- Making your photo perform a routine you can’t do yourself.
